Bucs in all red

Hey everyone

Great great website, and great feedback and content from everyone here. Super cool.

My bro is a huge Bucs fan, and swears that they wore all red in a preseason game the year the broke out the red/pewter (was it 97?). I actually kinda remember this too I think? Does anyone have any info, or pics? We can't find anything...

From the 8/3/97 Sarasota Herald-Tribune:

"The Tampa Bay Buccaneers pulled a surprise by wearing their pewter pants instead of the white pants the team initially announced last week it would wear with the new red jerseys against the Redskins."

Thanks for the reply! But I was referring to the Bucs wearing all red - red jersey with red pants. They've obviously never worn the red pants in the regular season, but my bro swears they exist..

Here's the combos worn in the 1997 preseason:

8/2: Red jersey/pewter pants
8/9: White jersey/white pants
8/16: Red jersey/white pants
8/22: White jersey/pewter pants

The Bucs have never worn red pants in their history. Orange pants, yes. But not red.
