A Patch-work job... Empty A Patch-work job...

We, at GUD, have accounted for EVERY patch worn on an NFL jersey. However, some, due to a lack of availability, were limited to images of a rather small size (which were used) or needed to be created (by me) 'freehand' on the computer. I'd like to have better in all cases. Color photos of larger sizes must be straight (to the horizon) so that rotation is NOT needed and clear enough to read what's written on the patch. The best thing would be the actual patches rather than someone else's 'freehand stab' at the artwork, although, if it's better than mine, that would work, too.

Not sure if these '99 Vikings patches are sufficient, but...:

The Leroy Hoard photo is the exact one I used for the purple patch above. Looking for something a little larger in size like the ones I 'drew' or simply the patch like like...

A Patch-work job... 1994_z10

This was a patch on a 1994 Bill Goldberg Falcons' jersey on sale on eBay. I can clear out everything around the patch and just use it on the "1994 Falcons" image.

If the patch is too small on the photo, it gets fuzzy as I 'blow it up' and you lose the detail.
Here is Leroy's at 4 times the size...

It just gets too grainy in my opinion.

Mako,
If this is YOUR patch, could you do a straight on shot so the whole thing gets into the frame?

Super patch!

Never mind. When I saved it and opened it, it came out complete. Even better!

I really hope someone will be able to provide a digital version (vector images would be great...) of these patches

Thanks again Mako.
The Georgia one is perfect! Never noticed the laces on it before..course, never saw it at this size before.

If we could only rotate that Dallas one a little bit CCW...

HA! never mind (again) I just found a new function in Microsoft Picture Manager that did it! YES!
A Patch-work job... 2009_p10

I'll clean it up and we'll be good to go!

I'd say we got better! Thanks mucho, Mako!

(I wonder how long before these pop up on CC's site? Funny thing is I sent CC the round Jerome Brown Eagles' memorial patch that they wore in the Preseason and Week 1 but he never put it in. Oh well. At least WE got 'em.)

Kinda got lucky and found this.
If only we could find the white patch from the white jersey...
A Patch-work job... 1999_c10

Actually its not even a patch. It was embroidered right onto the jersey.

OK so even though an ad on eBay is taken down (for whatever reason) the image from the auction is still available on Google Image Search?

I'm not going to argue!

Bill, the patch you posted is not the same the Giants used in the game.
Looking at game photos "THE FIRST GAME" looks black.

The photos above were posted by Phil at Uni Watch the day of the game

Problem is I can't use either of these pictures.
Neither is flat. I could rotate till the cows come home but I can't do anything with the crinkle.

This is the best I can do...

No, but you can use them as a reference and tweak the patch you found on ebay.
You only need to make "THE FIRST GAME" black, the rest of the patch should look OK at the size of the image you use in the database

I tried that first but the problem is "NEW MEADOWLANDS STADIUM" is in a different font.
I made a copy and rotated it so the skyscrapers were straight. Then I cut-and-pasted the straight ones over top of the crooked ones. The result is the one above. Not perfect but I think it'll do until we get our hands on a legit game patch..

Besides working on the Giants patch from the 2010 opener, I figured I try my hand at making a 'drawing' of the Vikes' Chip Myers memorial since its unlikely that we'll get our hands on an as good of an image for the white jersey's CM logo.
