1970 - orange on orange pants, blue (or black) on white pants
1969 - white on white pants (also blue or black on white pants), blue on orange pants
1968 - orange on orange pants, blue or black on white pants
1967 - white
1966 - blue or black
1965 - white and black belts
1964 - white
1963 - white
1962 - white

1965-70 seems like it is problematic as multiple combinations appear. What's the majority?

To summarize your KC finds...

1974 - red pants - ?
      - white pants - red belt

1973 - red pants - ?
      - white pants - red belt

1972 - red pants - white belt
      - white pants - red belt

1971 - red pants - white belts
      - white pants - red belt

1970 - red pants - white and black belts (see below)
      - white pants - white and black belts

1969 - red pants - white and black belts
      - white pants - white and black belts

1968 - red pants - (white and ?) black belts

1967 - red pants - white and black belts

We need more evidence to fill in gaps for these.

This fills in the red pants for 1970 KC...

Even without seeing red pants from 1973-74, I'm seeing mis-matched belts and pants from 1971-74 (red on white and white on red).

I haven't seen white belts on the 1968 red pants yet but otherwise we have seen evidence of both black and white belts on both the red and the white pants from 1967-70.

I think '68-'69 is mostly blue on white, sometimes with a black or white substitution.
Prior years are mostly white, with some black showing up.

I think '71-'75 is predominantly red belts with white pants and white belts with red pants.
Prior to that its mostly white belts with both pants, with black belts being liberally substituted.

The KC/NYJ photo from 9/15/68 shows both black and white belts for 1968's white pants.

We can now clearly say that they wore both black and white belts with both sets of pants from 1967-70.

If we could get some 'red pants' photos from '73 and '74, we could also say that they wore the mismatched belts (red and white) with pants (white and red) from 1971-74.

No evidence of black belts for '73 or '74.
