2022 GSL Memorial Day Classic Logo Competition - Voting

Voting can officially begin on the Memorial Day Classic Logo Competition

Since we have just two entries, make your votes for first place only.
Voting will go until 11:59PM Eastern Time Thursday night, with the winning logo to be announced Friday morning.

I really like both of these.
I'm going with 1, because it's more D.C. but the Washington Monument in 2 is also clever

These are both really good though. I think you could make entry 2 the logo for next year if you make the game in Dallas, because it seems very Dallas, if it's just modified to no have the monument and just the year at the top. If I could vote entry 2 for Dallas 2023 I would lol

I wouldn't be opposed to such an idea, but I think that's somethings the league would have to decide on, and I'm not sure I'd want to do that during this competition. I'd also have to talk with the logo creators as well, and see how'd they'd feel about it. It does kind of work out though, since I plan to move from a competition model, to a commission type model next season, but interesting suggestion.

I know the vote is tied right now, and that I can break that tie, but I'm going to vote for this. Entry 1 for 2022, entry 2 for 2023. They're both really good, and only two people entered, so both can win. You're welcome for complicating this further.

Okay, so I didn't actually count Tim's vote the first time around here. I kind of read it as a no vote for either, because he voted for both, and a year.

At any rate, I did talk with both logo creators, and this is what we will do anyways.
Entry 1 is the logo for 2022.
rbronish will be creating the logo for 2023 (which might be heavily influenced by his submission this year). Since both creators did so well, and they're the only ones who participated, they both win in a way. Also, since I want to go to a commission type system next year, this is a step towards that.

With that, Patrick Davis will also have the chance to make small tweaks to the winning logo, that don't change the logo design as a whole, before final submission (since you asked Patrick, and I think this is a reasonable request).
