2022 Season Preview
I have randomized team strengths, and with some third party help, had them assigned to teams in a double blind manner. That's the most fair way I could do it.
With that done, I have started writing season previews, based on team strengths. I'm going to post division by division, since it's a bit of writing. The goal is to preview the Eastern Conference divisions this week, and the Western Conference next week. Despite knowing a little bit about each team, I don't think this season will be as predictable as last season, especially with the simulation changes. Even still, there isn't going to be a team as dominant as the Keystones were last season (and they didn't even make the Championship game). So I expect I pretty good season with many teams in the hunt for the playoffs going down the stretch (or at least I hope).
Anything season preview related can be posted in this thread.
And with that, we start with the East division.

I'm doing the divisions in the same way the standings page is ordered, so the North is tomorrow, which includes the Stags.

Glad to see we will be in the running in the North!
We had two close games with Toronto last year tso we need win those to control the division it looks like. No bad teams in the north either, so division games are big thos year.

Yeah, most teams will be somewhat competitive at the least. There are really only two dumpster fire teams heading into 2022, and a few others that aren't very good. For the most part though, I really don't have any idea how this is all going to play out since the simulation method has been improved. Even then, this season preview isn't going to paint the whole picture, since there's another layer on top of just the rankings that might obscure things. I'm sure there will be a couple of surprise teams for this next season, both good and bad. We see that in the NFL from year to year, so I think it would be good if there are some teams that surprise even me, as the man behind the curtain. Keeps things interesting.
Last year it was pretty obvious to me that Pennsylvania was going to have a great year, and Arizona would be a pretty good team. Some teams did surprise me, like Colorado, who really outperformed most of the season. But for the most part, the 2021 season was predictable, and I tried to change that a bit this year with simulation changes.

Sad, well depressing season awaits for Birmingham but next year should be the year we win it all.

Re: 2022 Season Preview
Since we only have a little to go on, I think I can't rank teams seperatly, so some teams are both the same rank.
Cincinnati and Louisiana are both ranked 1, since they are both good offense and defense. Same for some others as well.
1. Cincinnati - Good (G, G)
. Louisiana - Good (G, G)
3. Jacksonville - Good (A, G)
. Wisconsin - Good (A, G)
5. Toronto - Average (A, G)
. Louisville - Average (G, A)
7. New York - Average (A, A)
. Miami - Average (A, A)
. Chicago - Average (A, A)
10. Atlanta - Average (P, G)
. Washington - Average (P, G)
12. Pennsylvania - Average (A, P)
. Boston - Average (P, A)
14. Carolina - Poor (A, P)
. Birmingham - Poor (A, P)
16. Baltimore - Poor (P, P)

That's it for the season previews. I think a lot of teams can be competitive this season, but only time will tell how well this preview actually got these teams.

Oh boy. I guess we're playing for a draft pick then. Looks like we can pull off some upsets in this division though. Our goal will be to be like the Jaguars beating the Colts last week when we face the Brewers in week 19.
