In 1923, the Rock Island Independents had a set of red-and-white uniforms, which they wore for one game when they hosted the Chicago Bears on September 30, 1923. The Independents wore red and white that day because their uniform clothier had sent them by mistake.

I couldn't find any photos of these particular one-time uniforms. It's a big assumption, but I would assume they received uniforms with the same pattern but the wrong color.
