2023 Redemption Game Logo Competition

Looks like we still need a logo for the 2023 Redemption Game.
I think a competition will be the best way to go for this one.

I'll set a deadline for the end of January for people to email me logo submissions.

Rules for the competition:
1. Logo must be emailed to me by January 31, 2023
2. Logo must be submitted on both a white background, and on a color background
3. Logo must include the following text: "2023 GSL Redemption Game" (the order of this text can be moved around, as long as all elements exist)
4. You must pick a city for the game to take place
   4a. The city must currently host a current NFL or GSL team
   4b. The city cannot be hosting this seasons, or any past seasons Gridiron Bowl, Redemption Game, or All-Star Game
         The cities that CANNOT host the game include: Phoenix, Seattle, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Green Bay, Louisville, and Toronto

For rule #3. Does that mean the only text should be "2022 GSL Redemption Game", or can we include other text in the logo?
I don't mean, below the logo, but actually part of the logo? I have an idea where it would make sense to have the extra text, because it's a feature on a stadium, that would be included in the logo. It would mesh well with the rest of the logo if I do it right.

It mostly means no other text, but I can see what you're saying. If the additional text makes more sense to have, than to exclude, or if it is part of a landmark feature of the logo, then you can include other text.
I think an example that comes to my mind is from a Memorial Day Classic logo from a past competition.
Someone had incorporated a battleship into the logo. For that, I would say extra text that would make sense in that situation would be a battleship number (as some have), and as the logo had, or, the name of the ship, which would be something a ship would have painted on the side.

I hope that example helps a little bit, with what might be acceptable. You could always PM me what you're thinking, and I'll let you know if you're extra text is acceptable.

Another thing I'll add.
With some of the latest competitions, I allowed people to get help from others, if they wanted, and if the other person (or people) would like to help someone else out on a design. I think that worked out pretty well for this seasons all-star game logo (although, that wasn't a competition).
Also, the winning design will have an opportunity to get feedback and make improvements after winning the competition as well, if they would like.

A general ask in this thread, like you did, is a good way to go about it.
You can also go to the SportsLogos.net forums, and make a post there.

Reminder that this competition is still ongoing through the end of the month. As of now, I have just one entry received.

I can get a submission in soon. Just wanted to clarify, shouldn't it say "2023 GSL Redemption Game" since it's the 2023 season? Or did I miss something?

Oops. Yes, you're correct. The submission I have has it right.

A little over a week left for me to receive submissions.

This competition will be closing tonight. I will post the entries tomorrow in another thread for the league to vote on.
I'll let voting go from the 1st through the 7th with the winner being announced on the 8th.
