Week 13 - 2023

The week 13 of the GSL is coming up and it promises to be a thrilling weekend full of close games with playoff implications. Several teams are fighting for a spot in the postseason, while others are trying to secure a better seed or home-field advantage. The stakes are high and every point matters in this crucial stage of the season. Who will rise to the occasion and who will fall short of their expectations?

We have an exciting match between the Birmingham Owls and the Louisiana Royals. The Owls are one of the best teams in the league, with a 9-2 record and a phenomenal coaching staff that is doing an incredible job. They are fighting for the seed 1 of the Eastern Conference. The Royals has been inconsistent but still dream with a playoff spot. They have a solid defense but in the other hand the offense has been struggling against above-average defenses, Birmingham is the favorite to win this Sunday showdown, but we can’t rule out an upset by Louisiana.

Baltimore Bluebirds (7-4) and Miami Sol (5-6) will face each other in a crucial game for both teams' playoff hopes. Baltimore has a strong defense and still dreams of winning their division, but they need New York CityHawks to stumble in the last games of the season. Miami must win this one to return to .500 and keep their wildcard hopes alive.

The stakes are high for both teams as they face off in another crucial matchup on Sunday. The Jacksonville Captains (8-3) have been dominant in the Atlantic division, and They are looking to clinch a top seed for the playoffs; The Lightning, on the other hand, are fighting for their postseason lives. They are currently holding on to the 7th seed in the Eastern Conference, but they have several teams breathing down their necks. The Louisiana Royals and the Boston Bobcats are both one game behind them and have easier schedules ahead. The Lightning need to pull off an upset against the Captains to stay ahead of the pack.

This weeks Sunday Night Football will feature one of the most anticipated matchups of the season, as the Los Angeles Express takes on the Las Vegas Outlaws in a battle for supremacy in the West division of the Western Conference.

The Express has been dominant this year, posting a 9-2 record and leading the West division, their offense is led by their dynamic quarterback, who can beat defenses without any issues, the Outlaws are not far behind, with a 7-4 record and a chance to close the gap in the division race with a win. Huge game for us if we want to have a shot at winning the division.
An LA win, with only 14 games remaining likely means they will win the division. So a big game Sunday night.

Miami needs this one badly, to stay in contention. If not the season might just be finished, with our remainig schedule!

Big game for Birmingham. If Birmingham can win this game, we can have a good spot to win the Central. Also still have a chance to get the number 1 seed.

Going to be very honest and say I forgot the games were yesterday. So imagine my shock when I found out we won lol

Everyong in the owners box was confused when you didn't show up, then even more confused why you visited the stadium on a day the team wasn't playing

Pretty big loss for us; looks like a much worse loss than I was thinking it could be, as we now sit on the outside of the playoff race looking in.
With 4 weeks left, we're probably going to need to finish at least 3-1 to squeeze into that 7 seed with how competitive the Western Conference playoffs are right now.

It also looks like LA, Birmingham, and Jacksonville have opportunities to wrap up their divisions as early as next week, with as little as a win. New York and Toronto may be able to as well with a win and some help. I'll have to do some math on that.

Yes that hurt. Gave it a great go. But with the remaining schedule is think the season is toast. No dumpster fire here. Just the late season schedule became s bear.

I guess it's between Salt Lake and Vegas for that last spot... Gonna be tough sledding.

A good win for us. Now with a win or two, we can clinch the central division.

Week 17 might be a win and in scenario. Should be a good finish to the season.

W on MNF last night almost reaching that 60+ point game I always bring up. Looking to clinch a division title in a very tough one.
