Baltimore wore white or blue jerseys with their white helmets AND white or unstriped red jerseys with their blue helmets. (5 combos)
GB wore white, green, and yellow jerseys with their green pants AND also the white and green jerseys with khaki pants, as well. (5 combos)

Thanks Mako. I had this same photo for the longest time but it was undated and I never bothered to look at the socks until a week or so ago when I began charting the individual games for 1953. The Rams unis are worthless since they only wore the same combo for about 6-7 years in a row. BUT, the Colts of 1953 (1st year) wore solid socks and added 3 stripes to them in 1954. This photo is definitely from 1953. That's the good news.

However, with the 2 games between these teams being @ BALT on Nov 22 and @ LA December 5, I'm much more inclined to think that this sunny day took place in LA in early December than in Baltimore in late November.

I think seemingly 95 percent of the games in Baltimore from November on were either played under cloudy skies or fog, so I would strongly second the theory that it's the game in LA. Plus, the seating automatically makes me think of the Coliseum.

Needed a bump.
