Steelers color of type on team page

just a question why is it yellow/gold ( a little hard to read) until 1958 and than black after that. off the top of my head the color of type for the other teams stays the same unless the team changes team colors

Honestly, I think that's just something that when we started with the goal of covering up through 1960 and then began working from the current years back towards 1960 there was just some disjointed work happening on my part an the difference slipped through the cracks.

Also with Oakland and New Orleans (mainly Oakland) so close to Pittsburgh in the alphabetical grouping, I consciously didn't want two consecutive teams having black text. It sort of seemed like a cop-out. Probably why I went with yellow to begin with.

And every time I go to fix some old Steelers stuff I tell myself to fix that and I always end up forgetting.

The early years will get changed to black text eventually.
