1966 Dolphins helmets

I have finally pinned down something that I've been wondering about for years.
The Dolphins started their inaugural 1966 season using the "dolphin in the sun" logo, at some point that season they changed to the one with the head poking out of the sun...I've just never known exactly when they did, until now. The final game with the original logo was game three in Buffalo, and by the next week in San Diego, they had changed logos.
The original would not be seen again until 1969.

This is very cool.
One question. Are we sure that the 2 weren't intermingled at the same time? Or at least from Week 4 forward?
This would be big for the 1966 weekly match-up pages.

Although that is possible, I have never seen any evidence of it, including my looking at a lot of AFL highlight footage recently...I will keep hunting.
