Re: 2021 GSL Season
So with this template, do you want your normal field designs? If so, which ones for which games. If not, what did you have in mind for this field for each week at the Cotton Bowl?
Also, the week 6 game can still take place at AT&T, since there wouldn't be an issue with turf condition, since the field turf is artificial, and can just be rolled on for game day without problems. I did however move the weeks 3 and 4 games to the Cotton Bowl.

Perfect, I had exactly that in mind, going back to AT&T stadium in the game against Oakland, my only concern was whether they could get rid of all the dirt in time for the game, but probably everything will be fine. Installing the turf takes an average of 8 hours so the chances of getting back in time for the Oakland game are very likely.
for the two games relocated to the Cotton Bowl, The Dallas Diesel will use the field with dark blue endzones, These were designed especially for primetime games and used in some "regular" games, so as the first game is an SNF and the second is a division game, the blue design should be used in both games
I thank you all for your attention and patience with this little "problem"!

Do you think live scores would ever be possible in the future? My guess is probably not.

I've thought about that, and how that would work, but it would be an undertaking re-writing the simulation.
If I did live scores, it would be with play by play, and to do that, requires a ton of work and data collection. I'd have to collect play data from probably a decades worth of NFL games (I've collected for a single season in the past, and I don't think that was a good enough sample size). Then, the challenge is, determining how teams will randomly select play calls (pro-football-reference play-by-play data breaks plays down into run left/middle/right, and pass short/long left/middle/right, so I'd use this). Then, I'd also have to find a way to factor in the rankings for each team, offense and defense, or something more in-depth, and factor that into play results somehow. I'd also have to figure out how to determine the length of plays (I can get that from play data, but in certain situations, the clock runs differently, depending on time left in the game, and other factors).
In short, this would be a very in-depth and difficult problem to solve, and I would expect it to be hundreds of hours of work. This would be the best solution, and would be the most interesting, because play-by-play could be live. I just don't think it's feasible without a full blown development team.
It's possible in the future, I can simulate games at game time, but then find a logical way to break down the score into 4 quarters. Since each game takes 3 hours from start time, to when scores are posted, I could post the updated score at the end of each quarter every 45 minutes after the start of a game. That would be a little simpler, but would still require some work, that I wouldn't want to be throwing in during an on going season, in case there are errors in the code and such.
I'm open to other possible ideas on how to do this as well.
I agree, this would be a good idea, and I've thought about it myself, because I'd follow play-by-play of GSL games, it's just a challenge to implement.
*** EDIT ***
Thought I just had: if I can find a way to simulate the game and break it down into a score summary, with times remaining in a quarter when scores occurred, then I could do live updates, based on time of day, and point in the game. For instance, for a 1:00 game, if a team kicked a field goal with 7:30 left in the first quarter, that score would be posted at 1:22PM. This may be a possible thing to do, but I'd have to write a new simulation for games, because the current method would not support this.

Heads up, the Lightning wear white as well as team colored cleats, so if you can, put that disclaimer in our team image for 2021 when it's all said and done.

Okay will do, although, I might need a reminder once their season ends.

Just noticed Louisiana's image should say 2-16 rather than 2-14.

Re: 2021 GSL Season
Question: for STL, wouldn't their burgundy over white uniform typically have a box around it that says "preseason only"?
Edit: Huh, didn't notice they wore it week 8 too. Nevermind.

Yeah, I actually had it in, and then noticed they had worn it in week 8 as well. I guess that's why the WWWW pages were originally created, so Bill could easily figure out the season graphics for each team.

Re: 2021 GSL Season
The 2021 GSL season officially ends today with the GSL All-Star Game.
Didn't have time for a preview, and almost forgot to give the teams rankings (that would have crashed the simulation). No one really pays much attention to All-Star games these days anyhow haha.
Seems like we are all looking forward to 2022, but I'd like to say thanks to all the league members for making this a great first full season of GSL football! See you all in the 2022 season.
