Week 14 - 2022
Week 14 - 2022 2022-05-19-1

Thursday May 19, 2022 - 8:15PM
(5-7) Seattle Sockeyes at (4-8 ) Washington Stars
Line: SEA -5.5
O/U: 44.5
Win Pct: SEA 63.6%
With another Oakland loss last week, the Sockeyes remain in the thick of the Pacific division race. They head to Washington to take on the Stars, who are pretty much packing it in for the year at this point.

Saturday May 21, 2022 - 8:15PM
(8-4) San Diego Breakers at (9-3) Las Vegas Outlaws
Line: SD -2
O/U: 47
Win Pct: SD 53.6%
This is a heavy weight battle, which is going to have a lot of meaning, not only for playoff implications, but potentially the race for the West division. With the Express going down last week, the Outlaws are a half game back, and San Diego is not far behind either. This is going to be a huge divisional clash and a Saturday night treat.

Sunday May 22, 2022 - 1:00PM
(8-4) Arizona Eagles at (7-5) Carolina Reapers
Line: CAR -3
O/U: 44.5
Win Pct: CAR 57.5%
The Eagles didn’t need that loss last weekend, but they are still in good position in the South division. They do however still have Dallas not too far behind, and this is a division that has been Arizona’s for a long time. They will have a tough challenge, with the explosive Carolina offense. The cross country trip and early game may play a factor for the Eagles.

Sunday May 22, 2022 - 1:00PM
(7-5) Dallas Regulators at (5-7) Jacksonville Captains
Line: JAX -8
O/U: 40.5
Win Pct: JAX 70.7%
Although Dallas lost last weekend, they are still nipping at the heels of the Arizona Eagles, with thanks to the Captains, who pulled out a win in the desert last weekend. This week presents the Regulators with a good opportunity if they can get the win this week, with Arizona in a tough game in Carolina.

Sunday May 22, 2022 - 1:00PM
(4-8 ) Kansas City Buffaloes at (6-6) Memphis Demons
Line: MEM -12
O/U: 46.5
Win Pct: MEM 78.5%
The bye week must have ruined Kansas City’s momentum, as they returned to their natural state of being a bad football team. They did go up against a top notch defense last week, however. Memphis on the other hand is starting to hit their stride, having won 3 of their last 4, including wins against Louisville and Los Angeles. This is a good matchup for them to keep this rolling as they make a push for a wild card spot in the Western Conference.

Sunday May 22, 2022 - 1:00PM
(6-6) Oakland Icons at (2-10) Baltimore Bluebirds
Line: OAK -5.5
O/U: 43
Win Pct: OAK 64.1%
Tough loss for Oakland last week overseas. That was a very winnable game, and they blew it. No time to dwell on the loss though, with Seattle not too far behind in the division, and with another winnable game on tap. Time for Oakland to take care of business this week, and get back on track.

Sunday May 22, 2022 - 1:00PM
(5-7) Pennsylvania Keystones at (5-7) Wisconsin Stags
Line: WIS -2.5
O/U: 46.5
Win Pct: WIS 57.3%
Someone must have lit a fire under these two teams last weekend, as they both pulled off upsets, coming away with big wins. They Keystones dismantled the Lightning, while the Stags squeaked one out in New Orleans, defeating the Royals. This game is going to be big down the stretch, with the North division still all locked up, so this divisional game is going to mean a ton.

Sunday May 22, 2022 - 1:00PM
(5-7) Toronto Terror at (4-8 ) Chicago Maroons
Line: TOR -7
O/U: 47.5
Win Pct: TOR 66.6%
The Terror got a much needed win at home last week to keep pace in the North division. Here’s another big divisional game for them as they head to Chicago. The Maroons were the on;y North division team to not pull out a win against the league’s best division in week 13, and that has given them sole possession of last place. This week gives them a chance for a division win though, and to pull themselves right back up into the thick of things.

Sunday May 22, 2022 - 4:30PM
(11-1) Boston Bobcats at (2-10) Vancouver Bears
Line: BOS -0.5
O/U: 44.5
Win Pct: BOS 50.5%
Boston should be coming off their bye week nice and rested, and hopefully they watched last week's international game, where the Bears played tough, kept the game close, and ultimately pulled off an upset. This Bears team plays tough each week, and Boston does not want to walk into this one thinking the game is won before it has started.

Sunday May 22, 2022 - 4:30PM
(7-5) Cincinnati Knights at (8-4) Louisiana Royals
Line: EVEN
O/U: 46
Win Pct: CIN 50.1%
The Central division is far from decided, and this is going to be a massive game. The Knights are just a win behind the two division leaders, and a divisional win this weekend would be huge for the Knights, as they try to compete for the division title. The Royals can’t seem to stay out of their own way. With every opportunity to take the lead in the division, they end up blowing their chance. This is going to be a big game for them to stand up and show they can take control.

Sunday May 22, 2022 - 4:30PM
(9-3) Los Angeles Express at (7-5) Salt Lake Trappers
Line: LA -4
O/U: 52
Win Pct: LA 59.5%
Things are starting to get a little uncomfortable for the Express. Another loss has them with the same record as the Outlaws, and San Diego and Salt Lake are also close behind. This divisional matchup is going to be big for both teams, but for the Trappers, this could be a statement game. Taking the win this weekend would get them really in the thick of things, and put them in a position to make a run at the division title.

Sunday May 22, 2022 - 4:30PM
(3-9) Miami Sol at (5-7) Albuquerque Atoms
Line: MIA -3.5
O/U: 53.5
Win Pct: MIA 58.6%
About time Miami got a win, even if it was against another league punching bag. Can they keep things going in Albuquerque? The Atoms really haven’t shown much fight through the middle of the season, and their window is closing. Do they have more fight in them, or are they packing it in?

Sunday May 22, 2022 - 4:30PM
(9-3) New York CityHawks at (4-8 ) Portland Samurais
Line: NY -1
O/U: 48
Win Pct: NY 51.2%
If New York was in any other division in the Eastern conference, they’d be in first place in that division. Unfortunately, they were given the short end of the stick, and are sitting behind Boston in the East division. This does give New York a unique opportunity though. Somehow coming away with a division title would also likely mean the top seed in the conference, and home field advantage. This should give the CityHawks good incentive to keep playing hard each week, as there is a lot at stake. Playing all their playoff games on the road, or at home. For Portland, the division is not out of reach for them quite yet. If they can pull off an upset, then they can keep their season’s hope alive.

Sunday May 22, 2022 - 4:30PM
(11-1) St. Louis Brewers at (4-8 ) Colorado Cabras
Line: STL -0.5
O/U: 46
Win Pct: STL 50.9%
After last week’s beatdown at the hands of the Trappers, the Cabras have to now host one of the league's best teams. The Brewers defense has been suffocating all season long, and that is not a good matchup for Colorado. It will be up to the Cabras defense to stand up and try and make this game close, to give Colorado a chance in this one. For St. Louis, the division title is not far off if they can get another win here, and the top seed in the Western Conference isn’t too far off after that if they can just keep things rolling.

Sunday May 22, 2022 - 8:15PM
(8-4) Louisville Lightning at (6-6) Birmingham Owls
Line: LSV -7
O/U: 51
Win Pct: LSV 68.0%
It’s been a real rough stretch for the Lightning, as they’ve only won a single game after their 7-0 start. That big head start in the division is what’s keeping them in first place. The games don’t get any smaller though, as they have a big one in Birmingham against an Owls team that has really been fighting hard to keep themselves in playoff contention. Expect this to be another hard fought Central division game.

Monday May 23, 2022 - 8:15PM
(5-7) Atlanta Flying Fleet at (3-9) San Antonio Texans
Line: SA -4.5
O/U: 45.5
Win Pct: SA 61.1%
The final game of the week, and final international series game of the year takes place in Mexico City, as the Flying Fleet take on the Texans. Atlanta has done well in recent weeks, and this game is another good one for them to inch in towards the wild card race. If things fall right this weekend, the Flying Fleet may only be a game behind the 7th seed. San Antonio … just try not to embarrass yourselves.

Week 14 - 2022 Empty Re: Week 14 - 2022

Lots of big games this weekend.

First, we have the (8-4) Breakers at the (9-3) Outlaws. Big game for playoff seeding, and even the divisional race, with the Express sitting at 9-3 currently.

Next, we have the (8-4) Eagles at the (7-5) Reapers. The Eagles are just a game ahead of the Regulators, and the Reapers are trying to keep their two game lead on their division.

The North division plays itself this week, with the Keystones at the Stags, and Terror at the Maroons. This is still anyone's division, so this weekend will be big for all teams.

The Central division is also matched up against itself, and this division is full of good teams still fighting to win the division. The (7-5) Knights head to the (8-4) Royals, while the (8-4) Lightning take on the (6-6) Owls. The Royals and Lightning have had the leg up on the other two teams all season long, but can the Knights and Owls flip the script this week?

Lastly, we have the (9-3) Express taking on the (7-5) Trappers, from the league's best division. The Trappers have won three straight, while the Express have lost 2 of 3, putting them in a tie with the Outlaws. This game could have a big impact on seeding, and even playoff participation for the Trappers, with all West teams in playoff spots right now, but teams close behind the Trappers.

Can't wait to see how these games shape out.
