Favorite 2023 GSL Uniforms Matchup

Since it's the offseason, I wanted to show yall what was my top 10 Uniform Matchups I like from the 2023 Season.

10. I like these combos because Wisconsin reminds me of Green Bay, and Atlanta is what I want the Carolina Panthers to do.


9. Now, these combos look fantastic. The all-white of Cincinnati works perfectly with the Black and white Atlanta uniforms.

8. I do like the New York all-red uniforms, but I also like LA's simple uniforms. So these uniform combos came up like this.


7. Oakland has some interesting uniforms, but my favorite one from them is the all-white with the black numbers and pink outlines. It looks so good. And you, can't go wrong with the all Balck and yellow uniforms for Memphis.

6. Miami Color Rush uniforms are in my top 10 of the best color rush uniforms in the GSL. And the Atlanta all-white make this uniforms matchup so good.


5. This uniform matchup is very interesting to me. The Miami light gray uniforms vs the Jacksonville all-red has an interesting look to it. But, I put it up in the top 5 because of how interesting it looks.

4. Color v Color matchup always looks so good. Now, as much as Louisana is my rival, they do have some good uniforms, especially for all-blue uniforms. Seattle, all Orange uniforms are in my top 15 of GSL home uniforms. So, I had to include them.


3. I have this uniform matchup at 3 because DC all-white uniforms look like a combination of 2020 DC Defenders and 2023 DC Defenders away uniforms. And as you see, I really, really, really like Atlanta Aliens uniforms.

2. I am so happy that Boston wore their all-white uniforms because Boston's all-white uniforms vs my all-black uniforms are so perfect. It barely misses being number 1, but it's definitely up there.

#1 almost didn't happen, at the beginning of the season, I had the Carbon Fiber uniforms for week 15 but I made a last-minute decision to change it to MNF vs Washington in week 13. So glad I made this decision, definitely paid off with this beautiful uniform matchup.

I'm not going to spend all night making my top 10, so I'll just do a quick list of my favorites from the 2023 season (in no particular order).

8. Week 11 - Demons at Breakers
9. Week 11 - Reapers at Cabras
10. Week 12 - Outlaws at Icons
11. Week 13 - Samurais at Icons
12. Week 14 - Owls at Icons
13. Week 15 - Cabras at Sol
14. Week 15 - Bobcats at CityHawks
15. Week 15 - Outlaws at Texans
16. Week 16 - CityHawks at Owls
17. Week 16 - Aliens at Brewers
18. Week 17 - Sol at Aliens
19. Week 17 - Icons at Samurais
20. Divisional - Captains at CityHawks

The worst: Week 17 - Bluebirds at CityHawks 🤮

Here is my list of the top 5 best unform matchups of the 2023 season!

#5: Week 3 - Miami Sol at Memphis Demons


I believe this matchup has a perfect spot at 5, I love Memphis' throwback uniforms and Miami's orange pants and helmets, these two unlikely colors collide nearly perfectly. Just enough to make the list.

#4: Week 12 - Las Vegas Outlaws at Oakland Icons


This will be a common theme throughout my list, bright colors. And I believe that Oakland and Las Vegas have some of the best color schemes in the GSL. The orange pants and white jersey are my favorite uniform from the Outlaws, and the Icons Pink and Black mix-match is one of my favorites from Oakland. The pants are really carrying this onto the list.

#3: Week 6 - Atlanta Aliens at Wisconsin Stags


Another bright color matchup, and even though this Stags uniform isn't one of their primary, it still works. I love Atlanta's blue pants and the hint of green vs Wisconsin's green jerseys gives this matchup a little boost. But by far the factor that carries this into the top 3 is the Stags' yellow helmets and pants. Definitely deserves a top 3.

#2: Week 2 - Las Vegas Outlaws at San Diego Breakers


Yet another Las Vegas orange pants appearance but this one is way better, mostly because of the ABSOLUTE BEAUTY of these San Diego sky blue jerseys! These two colors mix perfectly. If Vegas didn't wear the orange pants, then this wouldn't even be in the question for this list. Also can't forget about the socks, they look good too, but not quite enough for the top spot.

#1: Week 15 - Boston Bobcats at New York CityHawks


As mentioned before, this almost didn't happen, my carbon fiber uniforms were scheduled for this game up until a couple of weeks before this game but a last week change (what??? last week??) made this happen with the red uniforms switching into this place. And combined with Dustin Ehle's (huge shoutout for making this happen) decision to put his black Bobcats uniform up against my red CityHawks uniform make this a perfect matchup. Very much deserving of the top spot!

Have to say, this is always one of my favorite matchups.
The history of these teams goes pretty far back (with their origins dating back to when I was first simulating games with cards in 2006/2007), and I always loved their contrast in color scheme, between the light blue and orange.
