Week 1 - 2024

Heading into Week 1 of the GSL, I'm really excited to share my thoughts and predictions with you all. It's way too early to say which teams are going to dominate this season, but I've got something new up my sleeve this year. I've been tweaking the way I calculate the betting lines and spreads, trying to make our predictions more accurate than ever before. This new method I'm using looks at a bunch of different factors to give us a better idea of how things might pan out.

I'm hoping this will help us all get a clearer picture of the matches and maybe even spot some potential surprises. The GSL is full of unexpected turns, and that's what makes it so fun to follow. With this new approach to predictions, I'm aiming to catch some of that excitement and share it here with you. Let's see how our picks do as the season kicks off. I wish I could fully control my team during gameplay. IDK why we go for it on New York 29. If we kick the field goal and stop them on defense, we could have won by a field goal. But this is not the first time we start off 0-1. GG New York. Yall played a heck of a game.

Yeah, that was an extremely confusing chain of events. A bit of an odd decision, you guys made a stop on our last drive, and then with a field goal means a W for Birmingham (assuming making the 29-yarder). GG, I hope we meet again in the playoffs.

I wanted to share some initial observations about the new method we are using to calculate the lines. In the debut game, the method proved to be quite accurate, which is a good sign.

However, as we know, one game is not enough to fully evaluate the effectiveness of a new system. Therefore, I am looking forward to seeing how the method will perform in the weekend games.

Let’s continue to monitor and analyze the results. The accuracy in the debut game is encouraging, but the real test will be consistency over several games

Just a slight issue off the bat, two teams (Detroit and Jacksonville) are showing their team assignments through the simulation. Don't know how you'd go about fixing that.

Can always count on this team to show up when it matters

Pretty sure I fixed these. This happened two years ago, and I made the fix last year. Forgot this year. It's something weird with how the simulation will abbreviate the NFL teams. All the New England, New Orleans, and New York teams have an abbreviation of 'NEW' which confuses things up.
We will keep an eye on this for week 2.

Is it just me or is this a trend for games in Vegas! Their must have been a really "Big Game" there last week!
