My boys are definitely just playing out the season this year. Apparently the previous Icons owner emptied the shelves before leaving.  

Heads up for next year...this franchise is undefeated in the state of OHIO! (Week 4, 2023 @ Cincinnati, Icons 34, Knights 31)

Regarding uniforms: Funny you said that. I am planning a bit of a reveal (in an unusual way) later this month.

Kind of weird how this has imitated life, isn't it?

It started with the Oakland Oaks, who moved to DC immediately after becoming ABA Champions in the league's second season, and the NHL's Oakland Seals, who moved to...Ohio!

Recently, the Warriors moved out of Oakland and back to SF in 2019, Raiders moved out of Oakland for the second time, this time to Vegas, in 2020 and the A's planned relocation to that same city was approved in 2023.

To rub salt in the wound, it was just announced today that they will be playing home games in Sacramento (and possibly no longer being the "Oakland Athletics", but playing as "The Athletics" for 3 years) starting next season.

And the only franchise that was available for me to purchase for this season was...

Oakland.

Absolutely. I almost think the city of Oakland was doomed from the start; they can't seem to keep a team. When I think they've figured it out, poor management always puts it to rest (just look at the atrocity that is Mount Davis (the city built Mount Davis in exchange for the Raiders coming back to Oakland but same notion)). The Icons HAD to move soon and now is a good time.

The GSL (or a team owner) does have a plan to replace the Icons leaving California for the 2025 season, although, not in Oakland ...

If Jacksonville does not make a uniform selection by next weekend, remind me of this decision (post again).

The GSL was going to force a stadium move for the Icons after this season, if the team was not picked up by a new owner, or a planned relocation. The team would have moved to Santa Clara by default.
Had this logo with a subtle change from O to S ready to go if needed.

Glad I bought it. The Icons' "all-seeing eye" logo is creepy.

blue at home for LAX in week 9

Salt Lake is going with their traditional away togs as they visit the Duke City.

The Miami SOL will wear our Alternate home Uniform Vs Boston. SOL Orange Helmet, With SOL Navy Jersey, SOL White Pants, and SOL Navy toped socks. All Trimmed with SOL Orange, SOL Navy and SOL White!



Our field choice will be the SOL Alternate Home Field.
