The Colts unveiled new uniforms in 1982. Blue home uniform, silver pants with blue numbers inside the horseshoe

I found some photos of the unveiling, and the numbers were white

I think they changed color because the white numbers were hard to see from the stands.
But did they made the change before or after the preseason? I can't find a photo

A similar circumstance happened a few years later, when the Browns debuted new uniforms that were quickly changed due to problems seeing the numbers.
