I'm sure it has been determined that this is a from a preseason game between the Browns and Lions played September 10, 1954 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. The Lions are wearing blue helmets, which they did for night games in the early-mid 1950's.

The pants look to me to be clearly white.
