A photo of a Kelvin Bryant card was emailed to me today with a question concerning the thin white stripes on either side of the wide red pants stripe. The teammate next to him also appears to have the stripe. Nowhere have we seen these extra stripes before. It is believed to be a 1985 card so does that mean that the photo is likely from 1984 (Philadelphia Stars?) ?

Stars pants Empty 85 cards

that is the 85 cards. topps made usfl cards in 84 and 85 but they came out after the season for example  this is the 85 card for bobby hebert ( 85 only season in Oakland)

so that photo of Byrant could be from any of the 3 seasons

so looks like Baltimore had white stripes around the red stripes for weeks 1-3 in 85
