Previous and following year uniforms
Contrary to the official NFL position on this subject, the 1944-48 Boston Yanks, 1949 New York Bulldogs, 1950-51 New York Yankees, and 1952 Dallas Texans were the predecessor franchises to the Baltimore Colts. I believe that this website should reflect that reality in showing the uniforms worn by the above teams that preceded the Colts.

Actually, there is no direct lineage. That franchise's charter was terminated when the NFL assumed operations of the Texans when their ownership abandoned them midway through the 1952 season. A new charter was created for the second Baltimore Colts franchise that has been in business ever since.

The Colts did get the Dallas players but it is a different franchise. In fact the Boston Yanks are a different franchise then NY Bulldogs/Yanks because the owner Collins asked the league to give him a new franchise for New York so he could write off on his taxes the Boston one
