Cleveland Rams helmets

This color photo seems to suggest the Rams helmets were gold rather than yellow.

What do you think of this helmet - yellow or gold?

This picture could be from either 12/10/44 or 10/28/45.

I have ALMOST that same photo from a newspaper article and its from the Oct. 28, 1945, game.
Notice Van Buren's legs which are not in the exact same position as well as Benton's knee on the ground in one photo but still in the air in the other.
These 2 photos must have been taken by 2 different photographers standing almost beside each other within a fraction of a second of each other.
