Notice him being mobbed by Asian kids? That's because he was playing in a 1976 exhibition game in Tokyo.

If you stop the video at 17:58 you get a pretty good view of half of the patch.
I was hoping we'd get lucky and it'd be the Bicentennial patch. It's not. At least not the one on Hart's right shoulder. Never get a good look at the one on the left shoulder.
A little research uncovered that this was called the Mainichi Star Bowl, jointly sponsored by the Mainichi Newspaper Co. and the Sports Nippon Co.

The same photo as above is shown in the NY Times and is much clearer.
It seems to me that the Cards' left shoulder patch IS definitely the Bicentennial patch.
Also, its hard to tell but the Charger on the ground, is that his jersey number peaking out or did they wear the patch(es) too?
Maybe in a different location?
