But yes, this is an awesome logo, perfect for Las Vegas. Using black as the background color was perfect for the bright neon to capture the Vegas night life vibe, and black of course fits right into Allegiant Stadium.

Once we have the Memorial Day Classic logo, and Redemption Game logo decided, I'll make an album of all the full sized 2022 season league logos, including the Gridiron Bowl Logo.

The 2022 GSL Preseason Schedule has been released.

The USFL seems to still be moving forward for an April start date, and run through mid June, before two weeks of playoffs.

Does this affect the GSL? It doesn't have to. The USFL is still in the process of selecting a home city for the league (in 2022, all games will be played in one city). Negotiations have been on-going with Protective Stadium in Birmingham, which of course conflicts with the Birmingham Owls for 5 or 6 regular season games (depending on the USFL Monday night schedule).

The way the GSL has handled conflicting events, is such that the GSL has precedence in scheduling. So, in our alternate world, the Owls home games would not be effected, unless ownership wanted to treat the situation differently. For example, the USFL field markings might end up on the Owls field during conflicting days, or, the Owls might move some games to Legion Field (they have no obligation to). Of course, nothing is final with the USFL, and they actually need to pick a city and stadium(s) to play their 40 game regular season first, before any GSL teams would consider having any effect.

We, the Birmingham Owls, have been looking into the USFL. We will keep in close with the games for the USFL. If the schedule has any conflicts, we can move 2 or 3 of the last home games to Montgomery.

That could be a possibility. The three options would be Legion Field (still within Birmingham, so really the best option), Tuscaloosa (closest location outside Birmingham with a suitable stadium), and then Montgomery, which is a little further away, but does have ASU's stadium available.

I forgot Alabama stadium was available. Yea I think Legion field and Byrant Denny would be the best spot

Likely change to the Wild Card Playoff schedule.
With the USFL Championship Game being held sometime on Sunday July 3rd, one of the Sunday Wild Card Games will be moved to Monday night. Depending on the scheduled start time of the USFL Championship, the two Sunday Wild Card games may shift to different times.

For example, a 6:00PM kick for the USFL Championship game would move the GSL Wild Card games to 12:00PM and 3:15PM.
Once the start time for the USFL Championship game is announced, the times can be reset. For now, the 8:15 Eastern Conference Wild Card game originally set for July 3rd, will be moved to July 4th. Given it's a holiday, the game will be played during the day time, since everyone will be out playing with fireworks and such at night. That game will be given a 2:30PM start time (same time as the Memorial Day Classic starts).

With only 4 games scheduled for the 4:30 slot in week 4, a 1:00 game has been moved to 4:30.
The Week 4 game, Washington at Boston, has been moved from it's original 1:00PM time to 4:30PM. This game, at worst, will be a divisional game between teams with winning records, and at best will be a divisional game between two 3-0 teams fighting for sole possession of first place in the East Division.
Figured this would be the best game to move to a more prominent time slot.

The week 10 matchup between Miami and Birmingham has been moved from 1:00PM Eastern time to 7:00PM eastern time (6:00PM local time), to accommodate the USFL matchup schedule at Protective Stadium at 3:00PM eastern time on April 24th.
If the USFL folds by this time, the game will be moved back to 1:00PM eastern time, as regularly scheduled.

I made some schedule changes for week 14 that I must have over-written by mistake at some point.

The Sunday Night game was going to be flexed out for the Birmingham game, mainly as a way to avoid USFL conflict.
The Royals-Knights game was going to move to 4:30PM.

I'd still like to make these schedule changes, as I had already intended. The KC-MEM game would move to 1:00PM.

The week 15 game between Chicago and Birmingham will be moved to Legion Field, to avoid conflict with the USFL games taking place at Protective stadium Sunday May 29th.
