Montreal's Olympic Stadium closed due structural problems

I was reading one of the best internet blogs about sports stadiums and just found out that Montreal Stadium is currently impractical due to structural problems, mainly due to poor roof conditions

According to the article:

"Montreal's Olympic Stadium must be closed,
The deteriorating condition of the canopy has meant that CF Montréal's MLS team will not be able to use The Big O to play their opening home game of the upcoming season in April 2024. We already know that the meeting will take place at Stade Saputo, with the Canadian team's opponent being FC Cincinnati. The league authorities have taken into account that the initial plan was to use the Olympic Stadium, so CF Montréal will not play their first home game until the 7th round, on April 14, 2024."

This directly affects the GSL as Montreal would spend the first half without being able to play in its stadium.

As someone who lives in Montreal they’ll have to move to either Molson Stadium where the CFL’s Als play or Saputo Stadium where the Impact play. I personally would go with Molson as its bigger and in a better location near downtown.

The other problem is the weather as it’s snows a lot and gets really cold (the too cold to play outdoors kind of cold) until late March which makes playing in one of the outdoor stadiums difficult.

Hmm. Going to have to figure out what to do then. Going to need to see what the Maroons want to do.
