2024 Flex Scheduling
This is the official thread for flexed games.
I forgot to flex a game to Sunday night in Week 11 sooner (was just an open slot), but the following game time has been changed:
The Seattle Sockeyes @ Kansas City Buffaloes game has been flexed from 2:00PM EDT Sunday, to 8:15PM EDT Sunday.

Re: 2024 Flex Scheduling
I'd like to keep a week ahead of flexing games, if I can, so I have also flexed the following games for week 12.
The week 12 game between the Houston Haloes and Louisiana Royals has been flexed from it's original 2:00PM start to Sunday night football.
The week 12 game between the Oakland Icons and Vancouver Beers has been flexed from it's original 4:30PM start to Monday night football.

Re: 2024 Flex Scheduling
For Week 17, I had to choose from a few games, and do some randomization to pick between those, and then come up with the flex slate.
There really wasn't an easy way to go about this, because with some teams, them winning eliminates other teams, or if I try to plan for a win and in Sunday night, a team could either be eliminated, or have already locked up a playoff spot.
This is why I randomized game selection, and went with times that I think make the most sense, and I just have to hope I hit the right matchups.
Week 17 flexed Games:
Saturday 4:30PM: Boston Bobcats vs Baltimore Bluebirds
In this game:
If Boston wins, they still have a shot at the #1 seed, and a Baltimore loss keeps Montreal, New York and Detroit all in the Wild Card race.
If Baltimore wins, Louisville will lock the #1 seed, New York and Detroit are eliminated, and Montreal will have a win and in opportunity.
Saturday 8:15PM: Arizona Eagles vs Salt Lake Trappers
In this game:
If Arizona wins, they will clinch the 7 seed, Portland and St. Louis would be eliminated, and Salt Lake, Vancouver, and Kansas City would all be in the running for the 2 seed, depending on Sunday results.
If Salt Lake wins, they clinch the 2 seed, Portland gets put in a win and in game, and St. Louis must win and hope for a Portland loss to get in.
This game was the toughest to schedule, because an Arizona win eliminates two teams before Sunday, but if that does happen, the 2, 3, and 4 seeds are all still in play come Sunday.
Sunday 8:15PM: Oakland Icons @ Portland Samurais
In this game:
If Oakland wins, Portland is eliminated from playoff contention (if they aren't already), and if Arizona and Portland have both lost, and St. Louis has won Sunday afternoon, St. Louis gets the 7 seed.
If Portland wins, following an Arizona loss, Portland gets the 7 seed.
If Portland has been eliminated, this game is a final prime time slot for the Oakland Icons, for a game played at 5:15PM on the West Coast. If this game has no other playoff meaning, it will at least be a final matchup between two Pacific Division rivals, in a send off of the regular season.
None of these were easy decisions to make, and we'll see the way things fall. Most interesting outcomes would be Boston and Salt Lake wins, while least interesting would be Baltimore and Arizona wins, but I let random chance decide which games would get flexed, and now we will let random chance decide who wins, and settle the playoff fields.
