One of my old Developmental League franchises, unfortunately a victim to the " Peddle " rule. A great franchise for someone to pick up..a lot of potential both on the field and on MS Paint.

Yes go ahead !! Anxious to see you develop this. That logo was a strange one, one I came up with off the top of my head one night sipping on a Strontium 90. The numbers are the Washington Capitals font that I got from a hockey concepts group.

Re: Eastern Association Teams
So basically that's the rule which will take full effect in Fall 2021 that owners may only have one team in each Division II league. Any teams that finish above .500 are guaranteed a spot to return and if an owner has more than one team he will need to realign them so he only has a maximum of four Division II teams, no more than one in each league. If they have more than that, the other teams will revert to league control and be eligible to be adopted by others. (The owner will be given the option of which team to keep) There will be no limit to the amount of teams you can have earn their way into the Premier League, however.
My goal is to have 12 active (different people) owning teams in each of the Division II leagues in 2021. If more people than that are interested in joining then we will limit ownership further as necessary (or expand), but any rule changes after this, will "grandfather-in" people's current teams that exist under this new rule. (i.e. if 92Mafia enters 4 teams, one in each Division II league in 2021, and then in 2022 we change the rule so that owners may only have 2 new Division II teams, he can keep his four existing teams, while new expansion candidates could only enter 2 teams. If the rule stays the same, and say one of 92Mafia's teams is promoted to Premier League, then he could create a 4th team in 2021, preferably in the geographic region that the promoted team was from. But with that new rule, if one of his four was promoted, he could not replace it with a new team, of course.)
At any rate we are trying to create a balanced, competitive league that doesn't have one person having too many teams, yet we want to establish this format like it is with this two-level pyramid format, presently 60 teams, 12 in premier & 48 in Division II, (plus the other leagues), and while the reality is we don't have 60 different people to run those teams at this point. But with our method, we'll always have room to welcome new members, with Division II teams below .500 not being guaranteed to return, our long, long term goal would be to have 60 different owners for those 60 teams (excepting of course owners that have earned multiple teams into Premier), and with the more interest that is shown by new members joining through expansion each year, we would either A.) be more strict with rules like this and limit multiple team ownership further, or B.) we would expand Division II to 16 teams.
How we make these rules and evolve them of course depends on how much interest and demand there is on people wanting to participate. It will be exciting, to me, to see how it evolves.
And also if we get a nucleus of more active, participating, members, it's not out of the question to expand the size of the Premier League either.

Rob Holecko wrote:At one point (I'm not going to name any names here, lol) but we had a participant who just started making team after team after team. Of course it was within the rules at the time. So then around 2015 or so whenever the league started to lose some momentum, we decided to phase in a rule that would limit the amount of teams at some point, however we didn't want to totally remove all the additional teams that owners had as they were a good percentage of the teams, or change things unfairly for people that were at one point not against the rules.

HAHA, its an honor to have an official " Rule " named after me. I believe that may give me some pull in this league..I think..so I am proposing this..I propose that a " CP " memorial decal be worn on the back of the helmets ( or a patch on the jersey..commissioners choice) of my teams that fall victim to the " Peddle rule " going forward. Mr Commissioner what say you ? See below

Ok here`s what its gonna look like. And to avoid the Harold Ballard 70s Maple Leafs scenario ( he refused to put names on jerseys as per the NHL rule. He conceded but made the names the same color as the jersey so you couldn`t see them) I am creating a white decal for use on black helmets. I would also like some media publicity regarding this on the next Dick Schaefer show, or on some Dick Schafer show..commissioners choice.

But he might decide to relinquish a team before then if someone asks him. (Like Rafael asked me if he could have Montreal) From his comment it looks like St. John's is the one in the East he is most strongly connected to and wouldn't give up. But for instance if the Stingers are promoted to Premier then of course he could choose to keep Staten Island in EA in the Fall.
And yes I'd of course like to see you have four teams, one in each league as well.
But as of right now, St. John's, Staten Island, Toledo and Philadelphia are all his. And in the Fall he will only be allowed to have one of those in the Eastern Association.

Okay. I will say, the Stingers are a great looking team, probably the best in the Eastern Association, by my opinion.
I'll take over the Swisshelm Express, but I may alter them a bit (logos aren't very clear), and change the name, or at least the city name to Pittsburgh.

So yes, that's fine you can do as you wish. Now there is another Pittsburgh team in the Continental League ... (an original TBFFL team, the Pittsburgh Gators) so that's why we kept that name.
But you are free to do as you'd like with it, including another Pittsburgh named team if you'd so desire.

Okay, I'll think of something. May be Pittsburgh in the name, may not be. Something like Steel City ... , or Three Rivers ... .
When do you need uniforms by for these teams?

Of course I only need a home and away for Fall 2020.
Okay, good to know, in the case of the other teams I'd like to own.
As for the Express ...

Kind of a combines Steelers/Pirates with some Express flair
